Please be aware that at the current development stage, interruptions in Service and malfunctions in the software may occur, and the storage and retention of your content and images may be affected.
Welcome to MAAGAL™! The Terms of Use set out below together with the MAAGAL™ privacy policy (collectively: the “Terms’) govern your use of the MAAGAL™ mobile application ("App") and all related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by MAAGAL™ a business operating out of Israel. Any reference in the Terms to "we," "us," or "our" refers to MAAGAL™. Any reference in the Terms to “you” or “your” refers to you, and the term “user” refers to you and may refer also to each of the other users of the Service depending on the context. You acknowledge and agree that the users of this Service may include persons who are matchmakers interested in facilitating matches as well as persons interested in finding their match.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by all of the Terms. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL OF THE TERMS, DO NOT CREATE AN ACCOUNT AND DO NOT USE THE SERVICE.
You are not authorized to create an account or use the Service unless all of the eligibility requirements set out below and in other sections of these Terms are met. By creating an account or using the Service, you represent and warrant that for the entire period of your use of the Service:
4. You have not been convicted of, or pled no contest to, any crime involving violence, threats of violence, or sexual misconduct;
6. You have not previously been removed from the Service by us, unless you have our express written permission to create a new account; 7. The sole purpose and intent of your use of the Service is for non-business and non-commercial use, and no monetary consideration or items of value will be received by you, directly or indirectly, as a result of your use of this Service; and 8. You undertake to be bound by all of the provisions of the Terms and to fulfill all your obligations set out therein.
If at any time you cease to meet any of the eligibility requirements: a) you undertake to immediately notify us in writing of such; and b) all authorization for you to access the Service is automatically revoked without notice to you, and you must immediately delete your account. We retain the right to remove your access without warning.
While we may require age verification at any time and may use third-party age verification services to confirm your eligibility, the responsibility falls solely on you to accurately provide your age and to meet all of the eligibility requirements throughout the period in which you use the Service.
Identity verification. We may require users to complete identity verification (such as a liveness check or government-issued ID document verification) during signup or in specific contexts (for example, when an account is reported, to obtain a verified status badge, or to access certain features). When identity verification is enabled, explicit affirmative consent will be requested at the time of verification.
Profile photos must clearly show your face. Photos that fail our automated content review (nudity, violence, drugs, hate symbols, or other policy violations) will be rejected. You may appeal an automated rejection by contacting support@maagal.love within 30 days; after that period, rejected content is permanently deleted.
To use the Service, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and phone number of yours, and completing the onboarding profile. You agree to:
YOU MAY NOT CREATE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS, USE ANOTHER PERSON'S ACCOUNT OR TRANSFER YOUR ACCOUNT OR USE OF YOUR ACCOUNT TO ANYONE ELSE. YOUR ACCOUNT IS NON-TRANSFERABLE AND NON-ASSIGNABLE TO ANY PERSON OR ENTITY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, UNLESS OTHERWISE REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
MAAGAL is a social matchmaking platform where connections are made through networking circles. MAAGAL aims to foster genuine, trust-based connections. The Service relies on real social relationships — you are expected to know and trust the people in your circle.
MAAGAL is tailored for straight orthodox / traditional Jewish singles seeking meaningful relationships within their community. The Service's features, matching criteria, and user experience focus on the values and traditions of this community. This focus is not intended to express judgment toward, exclude, or offend any person of any ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity. All users who meet our eligibility requirements and agree to these Terms are welcome to use the Service.
Subject to the terms and conditions of the Terms, MAAGAL grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-assignable right to access and use the Service solely for your own non-commercial purposes directly connected to social matchmaking, and not for the benefit or use of any other person or entity. Immediately upon termination or suspension of your account (whether initiated by you or by MAAGAL), this license granted to you automatically ends without the provision of any notice.
We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove any features of the Service at any time, without notice. This includes changes to free and premium features, matching algorithms, communication tools, and any other functionality, and such changes may be mandatory. If you do not wish to engage with a mandatory feature, you will can notify us to terminate your account.
You agree to use the Service in a respectful and lawful manner. You must not:
We reserve the right to investigate and take action against violations, including temporary suspension or permanent termination of your account, all at our sole discretion and without notice, and without mitigating your liability in this regard. The license granted to you under the Terms is automatically revoked if you violate any of the above.
MAAGAL prohibits uploading or sharing any content that:
2. Is abusive, insulting, threatening, discriminatory, or promotes racism, sexism, hatred, antisemitism or bigotry; 3. Is illegal or encourages illegal activity, including terrorism, human trafficking, or incitement of violence; 4. Encourages or facilitates activity that may result in harm, including self-harm, eating disorders, or dangerous challenges;
6. Relates to commercial activities (sales, promotions, advertising, solicitation for services);
8. Infringes upon any third party's rights (including intellectual property and privacy rights); 9. Was not written or created by you, or was automatically generated by AI, unless expressly you receive prior, written consent by MAAGAL;
Uploading Prohibited Content may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account. The license granted to you under these Terms is automatically revoked if you violate any of the above.
MAAGAL aims to maintain a safe and respectful environment. We aim to monitor and moderate user-generated content, including but not limited to text, images, profile information, and chat messages, to detect and remove inappropriate, harmful, or policy-violating content.
We may use to carry out content monitoring:
You understand and agree that we may analyze, access, store, duplicate and otherwise use your content, including messages and other communications, to monitor, develop, personalize, and improve our Services, including through the use of machine learning and other automated technologies, in accordance with mandatory applicable law. By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to the use of automated tools and third-party services for content monitoring purposes.
Any content that violates these Terms may be removed without notice. We may remove, delete, edit, limit, or block access to any of your content at any time at our sole discretion. A repeated or severe violation of the Term’s content policies may result in your account being suspended or terminated without notice, and your license immediately revoked. Nothing set out above or in any other section of these Terms is intended, or should be interpreted, to place an obligation on MAAGAL to review or to monitor your content, and you are solely responsible for the content that you upload.
You retain ownership of the content that you upload (photos, text, messages), and are solely responsible to ensure that any content that you upload is not prohibited content under these Terms and does not violate the intellectual property rights of any person or entity. By uploading content to MAAGAL, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, sub-licensable license to host, store, use, copy, display, reproduce, adapt, modify, and distribute your content solely for operating and improving the Service and for legal and regulatory purposes.
You authorize MAAGAL, at MAAGAL’s sole discretion to act on your behalf, with respect to infringing uses of your content taken from the Service by other users or third parties.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your content does not violate these Terms or any applicable laws. We may remove, delete, edit, limit, or block access to any of your content at any time at our sole discretion. MAAGAL has no obligation to display or review your content.
By submitting suggestions or feedback to MAAGAL regarding the Service, you agree that MAAGAL may use and share such feedback for any purpose without compensating you.

Photos may, at our discretion, be subject to automated and manual monitoring. We reserve the right to remove photos that violate these requirements.
You can report users who violate these Terms or make you feel unsafe or uncomfortable. In the process of reporting, it is required that you provide details to explain and substantiate the violation. You can also block users to prevent further contact. We take reports seriously and will make reasonable efforts to investigate.
Be aware that false or malicious reporting may result in enforcement actions against the reporting account, including suspension or permanent ban and revocation of the use license. In assessing misuse, we consider factors such as evidence that a report was motivated by bias, hatred, or other malicious intent.
MAAGAL deploys commercially reasonable security precautions intended to protect against unauthorized access to content you submit and data stored in connection with your use of the Service. We make commercially reasonable efforts to deploy corrections for security vulnerabilities made known to us.

You acknowledge that, notwithstanding the security precautions deployed by MAAGAL, the use of or connection to the Internet provides the opportunity for unauthorized third parties to circumvent such precautions and illegally gain access to the Service and your content. MAAGAL DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE PRIVACY, SECURITY, INTEGRITY, OR AUTHENTICITY OF ANY INFORMATION TRANSMITTED OVER OR STORED IN ANY SYSTEM CONNECTED TO OR ACCESSIBLE VIA THE INTERNET. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE VIA THE INTERNET IS SOLELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
MAAGAL IS A PLATFORM AND NOT A MATCHMAKER. MAAGAL DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS, IDENTITY VERIFICATION BEYOND PHONE AND EMAIL CONFIRMATION, OR SCREENING OF ANY KIND OF ITS USERS. WE DO NOT UNDERTAKE TO VERIFY THE ACCURACY OF USER-PROVIDED INFORMATION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO NAME, AGE, PHOTOS, MARITAL STATUS, OR ANY OTHER PROFILE DETAILS. MAAGAL MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES AS TO THE CONDUCT, IDENTITY, HEALTH, INTENTIONS, LEGITIMACY, TRUSTWORTHINESS OR VERACITY OF USERS. WITHOUT DEROGATING FROM THE FOREGOING, YOU CONSENT THAT MAAGAL, AT ITS DISCRETION, MAY CONDUCT BACKGROUND CHECKS OR OTHER SCREENINGS AT ANY TIME USING AVAILABLE PUBLIC RECORDS, AND YOU AGREE THAT ANY INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE MAY BE USED FOR THAT PURPOSE.
YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS.

You may decline any number exchange request without penalty. If you experience harassment or misuse of your phone number by another user, please report them through the App and take your own independent action to curtail such harassment or misuse.

MAAGAL may offer multiple subscription tiers with different pricing and features, and over time, at MAAGAL’s sole discretion, modify, remove or supplement the features of each tier. Current tiers include:

This processing may involve third-party AI and automated services and technologies. By using the Service, you consent to said processing as further described in our Privacy Policy. If you do not consent, you may delete your account at any time.
You have the right to request human review of any significant automated decision that affects your account. Contact us, in a timely manner, at the email address listed further below to make such a request. To avoid any misunderstanding, nothing contained in this section shall operate to reduce the obligations of the user to comply with the Terms or to affect the liability of MAAGAL in such regard.
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into the Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to all of the terms and practices described in the Privacy Policy, subject to any mandatory applicable law.
As between you and MAAGAL, the Service, including, without limitation, the App, design, features, code, and branding related to the Service, is owned by MAAGAL and is entitled to intellectual property protections. During the term of your account and for an unlimited time thereafter, you may not copy, duplicate, transfer, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer or decompile or otherwise disassemble the Service or any of its components (in whole or in part).
If you believe that any aspect of any content or use of the Service infringes intellectual property rights, please contact us at support@MAAGAL.love with a detailed description of the infringement and we make reasonable efforts to investigate.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITH RESPECT TO QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE OR BUG-FREE.
IN ADDITION WE DO NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT:
MAAGAL ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY CONTENT THAT YOU OR ANOTHER USER POSTS, SENDS, OR RECEIVES THROUGH THE SERVICE, NOR FOR THE IDENTITY, INTENTIONS, LEGITIMACY, OR VERACITY OF ANY USER.
YOU MUST USE THE SERVICE SOLELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
THE AFORESAID IS SUBJECT TO ANY MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS OF APPLICABLE LAW.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MAAGAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR PHYSICAL OR ENHANCED DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, PERSONAL INJURY, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, ARISING FROM: (I) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SERVICE; (II) SERVICE INTERRUPTION, SUSPENSION, TERMINATION OR CANCELLATION; (III) THE CONDUCT OR CONTENT OR COMMUNICATIONS OF ANY USERS ON OR THROUGH THE SERVICE; OR (III) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT OR COMMUNICATIONS, EVEN IF MAAGAL HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
SUBJECT TO THE FOREGOING LIABILITY LIMITATIONS, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID, IF ANY, BY YOU TO MAAGAL FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTH PERIOD PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF ANY SUCH JURISDICTIONS ARE APPLICABLE, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW IN THE APPLICABLE JURISDICTION.
YOU AGREE, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, TO INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, AND HOLD HARMLESS MAAGAL, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, CONSULTANTS AND THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS FROM ANY CLAIMS, PROCEEDINGS, DAMAGES, LOSSES, OR EXPENSES (INCLUDING REASONABLE LEGAL FEES AND COURT COSTS) ARISING FROM:
OTHER USER, WHETHER ONLINE OR OFFLINE; AND
We may, at our sole discretion and without notice, suspend (temporarily restrict access) or terminate (permanently disable) your account if we reasonably believe that you have:
Suspension may be temporary or indefinite, depending on the severity of the violation. While we may notify you of the general reason for suspension, such notification will be general and not provide details. You understand and agree that we may not share or disclose information regarding your account termination if, to our understanding, doing so would potentially impair the safety or privacy of other users or violate any legal requirement or contractual undertaking.
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.
Upon termination:
Ban enforcement: If your account is permanently banned, we may retain certain identifying information (such as hashed phone number, hashed email address, and facial recognition data derived from your profile photos) to prevent re-registration. This data will be used for the purpose of enforcing the ban. See our Privacy Policy for details.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, before filing any formal legal action, you agree to first contact us at support@MAAGAL.love and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 60 days. Many disputes can be resolved without litigation.
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, to the extent permitted by applicable law and except as set forth below, you and MAAGAL agree to resolve any claims relating to the Terms or the Service through final and binding individual arbitration conducted in confidence. Each party to the arbitration shall sign on a standard confidentiality agreement undertaking to maintain the arbitration proceedings, claims and decision in strict confidence. The arbitration shall be conducted in Jerusalem, Israel, or remotely by mutual agreement, in English or Hebrew.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU AND MAAGAL AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT AS PART OF A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. WITHOUT DEROGATING FROM THE FOREGOING, IF FOR ANY REASON A CLAIM PROCEEDS IN COURT RATHER THAN ARBITRATION, YOU AND MAAGAL EACH WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief from a court to prevent the actual or threatened infringement of intellectual property rights. YOU AND MAAGAL EACH AGREE THAT IN THE EVENT OF ANY COURT PROCEEDING, THE COURTS OF JERUSALEM, ISRAEL SHALL HAVE EXCLUSIVE JURISDICTION TO DECIDE THE MATTER AND GRANT RELIEF.
YOU MAY OPT OUT OF THE ARBITRATION AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER PROVISIONS BY SENDING WRITTEN NOTICE TO SUPPORT@MAAGAL.LOVE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF CREATING YOUR ACCOUNT. IF YOU OPT OUT, THE BELOW GOVERNING LAW SECTION (§25) GOVERNS AND APPLIES IN FULL.
If you are using a pre-release or beta version of the Service, you acknowledge that the Service is in an early development stage and that:
Your participation in any beta program entitles you to access only to the Beta version, and not to any continued access beyond the Beta program in which you are participating.
MAAGAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY FAILURE OR DELAY IN PERFORMING ITS OBLIGATIONS UNDER THESE TERMS, OR TO ANY DAMAGES OR LOSS INCURRED, DUE TO CAUSES BEYOND ITS REASONABLE CONTROL, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: NATURAL DISASTERS, ACTS OF GOVERNMENT OR REGULATORS, PANDEMICS, WAR, TERRORISM, RIOTS, INTERNET OR TELECOMMUNICATIONS FAILURES, POWER OUTAGES, FIRE, OR ACTIONS BY THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS AND SELLERS (INCLUDING HOSTING, INTERNET AND INFRASTRUCTURE PROVIDERS AND APP SUBSCRIPTION SELLERS).
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect with the updated Terms date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.
These Terms are governed solely and exclusively by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles. Subject to the arbitration provisions in §21, any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Jerusalem, Israel.
Nothing set out in the Terms is intended to conflict with any mandatory applicable law, including, without limitation, any mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in your case, and nothing in these Terms affects your rights under such provisions that are mandatory and not subject to waiver.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, including without limitation the Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and MAAGAL regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
No agency, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary, or other special relationship or employment is created as a result of these Terms, and you may not make any representations on behalf of or bind MAAGAL in any manner. For the avoidance of doubt, MAAGAL has no obligations and no liability with respect to any actions or omissions of third-party providers involved with your App subscription and receipt of the Service, and such third-party providers act independently and are not an agent or representative of MAAGAL.
No delay or omission by MAAGAL in enforcing any of its rights or any term of these Terms shall be deemed to constitute a waiver by MAAGAL of any such rights or term.
Any rights and licenses granted hereunder may not be transferred or assigned by you, but may be assigned by us without restriction.
